ABOUT Red-IDD

The Inter-American Network on Fundamental Rights and Democracy (Red-IDD - Red Interamericana de Derechos Fundamentales y Democracia) is formed by professors of postgraduate law programs to develop lines of research on issues of fundamental rights and democracy.

Since its creation in 2014, Red-IDD has held annual meetings and exchanges with the average participation of 40 professors from 12 Universities. This experience has also generated publications in books, journals, conferences, interviews, as well as co-supervision and participation in examining committees of master's theses and doctoral dissertations.

The network promotes research projects and holds annual seminars with panels and Working Groups in which results of ongoing research, results of studies or recent publications are lively discussed.

Red-IDD was founded from the ideal of bringing universities and researchers together to integrate academic experiences and publishing research results on fundamental rights and democracy in the context of the Americas.
